• (July 4th 2016) – Ignacio Hidalgo arrived to University of applied sciences upper Austria

• (June 24th 2016) – Ignacio Hidalgo has been granted by Spanish Ministry of Education for a 3 months research stay at University of applied sciences upper Austria, with a mark of 9.5/10. Congratulations!!

• (May 30th-June 1st 2016) – Jose-Manuel Colmenar and Ignacio Hidalgo visited Professors Stephan Winkler and Gabriel Kronberger for 2nd Workshop Absys- University of applied sciences upper Austria.

• (May 9th 2016) – Our final version of the paper “Predicting Glycemia in Diabetic Patients By Evolutionary Computation and Continuous Glucose Monitoring” was submitted for publication at Medical Applications of Genetic and Evolutionary Computation (MedGEC).

• (April 20th 2016) – New Special Issue on “Evolutionary Algorithms on Parallel Architectures and Distributed Infrastructures” – International Journal of High Performance Computing Applications - SAGE Journals . The purpose of this special issue will be to provide a reference of the state-of-the-art in the synergies arising from two different but related fields: Parallel and Distributed Infrastructures and Evolutionary Computation. • (April 18th 2016) Francisco Fernández-de-Vega visited us and gave a nice talk about Automatic Generation of Video games contents using Genetic Programming.

• Oscar Garnica (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) visited University of Oslo from 1st of June to 31st of July of 2015, thanks to Project 014-ABEL IM-2014A –UCM-EEA Abel Extraordinary Chair– Coordinated Mobility of Researchers - NILS Science and Sustainability (ES07)

• Our Project “Development of Adaptive and Bioinspired Systems for Glycemic Control using Insulin Pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitors in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus” has been granted for the next 3 years by the Spanish Goverment. April 16th, 2015.

• Iván Contreras Ph.D from MICELab group of the Universitat de Girona (Spain) will visit us from April 7th to April 10th 2015 and will give us a talk titled “Diabetes: Hidden Patterns in Time Series. (Diabetes: Patrones ocultos en series temporales).

• Ignacio Hidalgo has visited Instituto de Matématica Multidisciplinar of the Technical University of Valencia for giving a talk on Multi-Objective Optimization with Evolutionary Algorithms on March 31st 2015.

• Professors Rafael Villanueva, Juan-Carlos Cortés, Francisco Santonja and Almudena Sánchez from the Instituto de Matématica Multidisciplinar of the Technical University of Valencia have visited us on a Workshop on Probabilistic Fitting on 29th and 30th January 2015.

• Our group will held and participate as Local Organization Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference, Gecco 2015, in Madrid July 11-15, 2015.

• Our group is co-organizing EvoPar 2015, in conjunction with GEA Group at Universidad de Extremadura, to be held during Evo*. The main European Conference on Evolutionary Computation.
